Many of you were experiencing problems uploading your files, receiving  error messages like I/O error.  We have been working very hard to fix these errors and we have implemented a new uploading tool.

Oh yes, a new uploader tool. Now you should be able to upload your files (up to 1 gigabyte) without a hitch. Just in case something does go awry, don’t worry.  You can actually resume your upload! So no more having to start that large upload all over again.

For everyone who had trouble, thank you for your patience.  Now, go get your videos, music and images on your storage account so you can stream it all to your phone like its on your phone.  Enjoy!

Android Storage Innovation

It is the eve of the Official Launch of Android Storage.  We will also be launching Android Storage China in a few days.

Android Storage will serve as a storage and distribution back-end for Android applications.  The service will allow developers to create robust applications not limited to the confines of local Android phone and appliance memory limitations.  Hence, our phrase: Android Storage: No More Limits.

By opening up our storage and streaming API, the Android Storage team hopes to cultivate development of hundreds of applications which will rely on our worldwide network of high availability computational clouds to deliver timely and low latency media “on demand” to Android phones and devices.

This project was created without any outside venture capital or investments.  That meant 4 people made tremendous personal and professional sacrifices to make it happen. They are:
